Troop 37’s held a fund raising event at Applebee’s in Hyde Park. We want to thanks them for hosting the event.
Venturing is a youth development program of the Boy Scouts of America for young men and women who are 14 years of age OR 13 years of age and have completed the eighth grade and under 21 years of age. Venturing’s purpose is to provide positive experiences to help young people mature and to prepare them to become responsible and caring adults.
At a recent weekly scout meeting, the scouts built two PVC dishwashing racks. One of the common tasks needed to be done while camping out, is washing the dishes. This task consists of a wash bin, a rinse bin and a sanitation bin. Normally these would be setup on a table or picnic table bench. It can be messy if you cannot set up the three bins in an easy to use fashion…
Summer camp has always been a part of Troop 37. We have gone to Goose Pond, Rotary, Camp Barton, and others. It is a good way to do advancement and have fun. There is normally things for adults to do as well. It’s a fun week, no power, no cellphones, no computers, just fun and relaxation.
Congratulations to the troop. Troop 37 takes 7 ribbons including 1st place overall at the 2015 Dutchess District Klondike Derby. Way to go boys! Check out the Facebook page for more pictures and information.
